    1. In modern English "Dickensian" is the description of hard living and working conditions, as often found in Dicken's novels.

    2. A "public house" today is a is a drinking establishment, which is informally known as a pub.

    3. He was a person who hated to spend money.

    4. We use "What the dickens is that?" when we express surprise or anger.

    5. Westminster Abbey is an old church where the most important and famouse people of London is buried there. One of this important people is Charles Dicken.

    3.- Mr Scrooge is a person who hates spending money.
